Coffee Cake Bar

Filling
1/4 cup sugar
2 T cinnamon
3 T semi-sweet chocolate chips

Batter
1/2 c sour cream
1/2 t baking soda
1/4 c butter, softened
1/2 c sugar
1 egg
3/4 c flour
3/4 t baking powder
1/2 t vanilla

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease pan or muffin tins.

Combine filling ingredients. Set aside 3 tablespoons of mixture to sprinkle on top before baking. In a small bowl, mix sour cream with baking soda and set aside.

In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar together using an electric mixer. When the mixture is smooth, add the eggs. Add the sour cream mixture to the creamed butter, sugar and eggs. Add flour, baking powder and vanilla to creamed mixture.

Pour half the batter into the pan and layer with the cinnamon-sugar-chocolate chip mixture. Pour remaining batter over this. Top with the 3 tablespoons of filling mixture that was set aside.

Bake in pan for 45 minutes, or muffin tins for 20-25 minutes.
