Whitman Water Sports

Imagine standing in the center of camp and looking out onto a crystal clear lake that is one of the cleanest in New Hampshire. Set on the shores of secluded Lake Armington, Walt Whitman offers a naturally beautiful backdrop for all aquatic activities. Campers swim, sail and boat in complete privacy, as there are no other camps on the shores of Lake Armington.

Campers may swim in the lake or in the OLYMPIC-SIZE, HEATED POOL, perfect for instructional swim. Our goal is to encourage children to enjoy the water and to learn to swim using the proper techniques and standards of the American Red Cross. Certified Water Safety Instructors provide group and individual instruction for beginners to the most advanced swimmers.

Under the direction of expert instructors, the boating program includes water-skiing, windsurfing, sailing, wake boarding, canoeing, row boating and kayaking. The emphasis is on proper safety practices as well as FUN!
